Personal Representative’s Message

richard_woodBrethren,

Our Stated Meeting for February was a great success having in attendance the Grand Master John Lowe and his lady Becky, Past Grand Master David Decker and his lady Nancy, Most Worshipful and Deputy to the Supreme Council of the Orient of California Ill. Frank Loui 33°and all the Brethren of the Valley that are there to support us each and every month. It would be great if we continued to grow and had to move to the bigger Lodge room!!!

Many thanks to Yorba Linda Lodge #469 for their presentation of the Masonic Veterans Flag to the Grand Master, it was a very moving and meaningful ceremony. The Marines and Army members that spoke and gave their personal experiences and told what the flag meant to them added even more. We were given the good news that after their being around our Masonic Family a couple of these men will be putting in applications to join Yorba Linda Lodge.

We have a new caterer and the dinner received very good reviews so if you missed this one be sure not to miss the March Stated Meeting (we even had three different kinds of warm pie with ice cream). Our thanks to Honorable John Rider for finding this caterer for us, great job. Our thanks to our set up crew of Ill. Bob Hjorth, Honorable Gene Harp, and Honorable George Morton for their dedication and hard work every month. Don’t forget to bring your recyclables each month; Honorable Dave Price is working hard to make this program work. Our Pig Program is going strong so keep putting that change in the pig and take it to the meeting each month. Thanks for your efforts on both of these programs Dave. We are very grateful and thank Honorable Jack Slagel for being there when we needed the helping hand for pictures of our Installation and our Stated Meeting.

Our Super Breakfast is coming up on April 21 and after a stuffing party at Yorba Linda Lodge on Sunday February 10 attended by Bob McNamara, 32° KCCH Wayne Riche, 32° Wayne Folsom, 32° Ray Ramirez ,32° my wife Kristi and myself, you will be receiving your tickets for this important event. Please support this Super Breakfast, this is one of our major fund raisers for the Valley. Mark your calendars and bring your family and friends (more tickets are available when you need them).

March 4th will be Shrine Night and we are looking forward to seeing both Potentates that evening along with as many of you as possible. Maundy Thursday will be on March 28 followed by our Easter Services on Easter Sunday March 31. We will have special speakers at each event. Easter Sunday we will have, for the first time, a lady speaker, your attendance and support is always important. Dinner will be served on Thursday and a continental breakfast will be served on Easter. Please call for reservations for each event as well as all Stated Meeting Dinners.

GET INVOLVED AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!

Fraternally,
Rick
