Venerable Master
I’m excited to share some of the plans and initiatives we have in store for the Orange County Scottish Rite this year. This will be a year focused on growth, fellowship, and creating opportunities for us to engage with one another, our families, and the larger Masonic community. We’ll continue to build upon the rich traditions of our Valley while exploring new ways to strengthen our bonds as brothers.
One of the most exciting events is the Setting Maul Dinner. This will be an open house event for all Blue Lodge Masons in the area, giving us a chance to showcase the amazing work we do in the Scottish Rite. It’s not only an opportunity to grow our Valley but also a chance to connect with brothers from across the region, share fellowship, and introduce them to the deeper lessons and unique experiences that the Scottish Rite has to offer. Whether you’ve been a part of the Rite for years or are new to our ranks, I encourage you to attend and bring along your lodge brothers who may be curious about taking their next step in Freemasonry.
This summer, we’re planning a Big BBQ Event at Irvine Park for all our families and friends. This will be a fantastic day filled with good food, great company, and a beautiful outdoor setting where we can come together as a community. Events like this remind us that Freemasonry is about more than ritual and meetings—it’s about building meaningful relationships that extend beyond the lodge room. Mark your calendars and make it a point to join us with your loved ones for this memorable day.
Supporting our Language Center and the California Scottish Rite Foundation’s mission remains a central focus for us this year. The work being done to help children overcome speech and language challenges is nothing short of inspiring, and it’s a reflection of our commitment to charity and service. Through fundraising efforts and increased awareness, we can continue to grow the impact of this vital program. Whether it’s through direct contributions, spreading the word, or volunteering your time, I encourage every brother to get involved in any way they can.
The Knights of St. Andrew are also stepping up this year with plans for some truly fun and exclusive events. This group brings a vibrant energy to our Valley, combining tradition, service, and fellowship into everything they do. If you haven’t already joined, I highly encourage you to become a Squire as soon as possible. It’s a fantastic way to deepen your involvement and connect with like-minded brothers who are dedicated to making a difference.
With all these exciting initiatives, I’m confident that 2025 will be a remarkable year for the Orange County Scottish Rite. But the success of these events and efforts depends on all of us. Whether it’s attending a meeting, bringing a friend to an open house, helping to organize an event, or supporting our philanthropic mission, every act of participation strengthens our Valley and our shared bonds as brothers.
I’m grateful for the energy and enthusiasm I’ve already seen from so many of you this year, and I’m excited for the opportunities ahead. Let’s make this a year to remember, one where we deepen our connections, grow as individuals, and continue to build the legacy of the Orange County Scottish Rite.
