Hon. James Olivier, 32° KCCH
Prelate, Director of The Work
Brethren,
As you read this, our degree teams have been hard at work on the practice for the upcoming reunion for almost a full month now and I want to express my sincerest gratitude to every person who has stepped up in a big way this year!
First up, Hon. David Soliven who has stepped into a new role as Director of Ritual. In this new role, David will be taking over the direct supervision of the reunions and the organization of all our events (like next month’s Ceremony of Rememberance and Renewal, make sure you come out for that too). I’m excited to work together with him and Hon. McCallion for our reunions as they spearhead the ritual and classroom together.
Next, to our Knights of Saint Andrew, and specifically Bro. Brandon Bell who has come in to help us with stagecraft! And lastly, the new cast members who have come on board over the last year. Brothers Scot Trodick and Chase May, who have jumped into multiple roles, have enabled us to bring back parts that had long been consolidated, and the ritual is better for it!
So three big events happening in quick succession. First at our April Stated Meeting, after dinner, our 14th Degree team will show a little bit of what it’s like to go through a degree practice. That will be a lot of fun… think of ritual done by the Keystone Cops. And there’s a fun reason for it! Next is our Spring Reunion on May 9th and 10th where we welcome our new members!
And lastly, the previously mentioned Ceremony of Rememberance and Renewal on May 12th at our Stated Meeting. So make sure you come out and support your degree teams and your new Scottish Rite Brothers! See you there!
