Russ Hennings, 32°
Venerable Master
Brethren,
As spring blooms around us, so too does the spirit of renewal within our Valley. I want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who attended and supported our Casino Night fundraiser in March. Your generosity, enthusiasm, and fellowship made it a tremendous success. I’m proud to share that we raised thousands of dollars in support of the RiteCare Childhood Language Center of Orange County—a cause that reflects the very heart of our Masonic commitment to service and community. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of children and families who rely on speech and language therapy to build brighter futures.
Looking ahead, I want to highlight the upcoming Spring Reunion, which will be held on May 9th and 10th. Reunions are more than just ceremonial observances—they are the heartbeat of our Valley, the lifeblood of our continuity, and the very place where the Scottish Rite experience takes root for our new candidates. These degrees are not only transformative for our candidates but reinvigorating for those who participate and witness them.
In preparation, we’ll be holding a Reunion Practice during our April Stated Meeting on the 14th. This will be more than a rehearsal—it will be an open invitation to any Brother who has been curious about participating in the degrees but hasn’t yet stepped into a role. Whether you’re interested in being on stage, helping backstage, assisting with wardrobe, lighting, or hospitality, this is your chance to find your place. The Reunion belongs to all of us, and your involvement— no matter how big or small—makes a lasting difference.
Let’s make this Reunion memorable not only for our candidates but for each one of us. The more hands and hearts we bring to the work, the stronger our Valley becomes.
