Venerable Master
Brothers,
If you missed our Spring Reunion, you missed something special. The energy in the room was electric, the degrees were beautifully delivered, and best of all—we welcomed six new Scottish Rite Masons into our Valley. A huge shoutout to Brothers James Olivier and James McCallion, who poured hours of preparation into making the experience memorable for candidates and cast alike. You both raised the bar. Also, please join me in congratulating Hon. David Soliven on stepping into his new role as Director of Ritual—we’re lucky to have his steady leadership guiding our degree work going forward.
Looking ahead, I’m especially excited about our upcoming Ceremony of Remembrance and Renewal, which will take place at the May Stated Meeting. It’s one of the most reflective and meaningful observances in our Rite. Wise Master Alejo Velarde has been working behind the scenes to make this year’s ceremony especially thoughtful and impactful. It’s open to members and guests, so bring someone with you to share in the beauty of this tradition.
And because we’re more than just ritual and degrees —we also know how to relax—save the date: Saturday, July 12, 2025. We’ve reserved Shelter #4 at Mason Regional Park in Irvine for a summer picnic, open to members, families, and friends. There’ll be plenty of food, shade, laughs, and fraternity. Keep an eye out for an RSVP link in your inbox soon.
Let’s keep the momentum rolling. Every new face we welcome and every event we share strengthens the bonds that make this Valley feel like home.
