Master of Kadosh
As I now take on the role of Master of Kadosh for our valley, I am both humbled and excited to have officially stepped into this position, fully realizing the great responsibility you have entrusted to me. I look forward to continuing the legacy and outstanding work of brothers who have served the Consistory in years past —keeping the momentum of strong leadership and unity that has been so squarely built and achieved in Orange County Scottish Rite News March 2025 more recent years, which will undoubtedly continue to help propel us forward.
At the heart of our work lies a fundamental truth that has particular significance in February: Brotherly Love. As you know, it is a cornerstone of what we do as Masons, and it is an unbreakable thread that binds us together. This is particularly true when we employ it to promote unity and to maintain the well-traveled end roads we have created in our valley and in our fraternity as a whole.
The act of spreading brotherly love is also seen in the way we support one another, in our kindness and understanding, and in our willingness to lend a hand wherever it’s needed. It is a large factor in what keeps us connected, not just through the formalities of ritual and regular attendance at our meetings, but through the everyday moments of care, compassion, and respect that we offer each other.
So, as we continue through this month and into the year ahead, let’s take a moment to reflect on how we can bring this love into every corner of our lives. Let us ask ourselves: how can we strengthen the ties and opportunities we have for fellowship, both inside and outside our valley, local lodges, and community? The work we do together is made more meaningful when we approach it with a heart full of love and a shared spirit of unity.
The coming weeks also bring us some important events—opportunities to gather, learn, and reinforce the connections that define us as brothers and as members of our community.
On March 10th, we will gather together for our regular stated meeting and dinner. No matter your attendance or how long it has been since you’ve worn your cap, I encourage you to join us because these evenings are not just about routine business and valley work but also about strengthening our foundation, our membership and our relationships.
On March 28th, I am also personally eagerly excited that we will hold our annual benefit for Orange County’s RiteCare Childhood Language Center (again featuring a Roaring 20’s theme). This is sure to be another epic evening of charity, fellowship, and fun for our valley and a chance to open our doors widely to welcome our greater local community.
This event is a good way to underline our commitment to helping those less fortunate, as we join forces to support this worthy cause and make a difference in the lives of the most important part of that community, the children who need our support. An evening of fundraising will surely help exemplify the transformative power of solidarity and communal effort. By coming together for this worthy cause, we can make a difference and improve the lives of the families and children around us.
Furthermore, as we move deeper into the year, we’re sure to be given many other opportunities to deepen our commitment to each other. Whether it is by increasing our attendance, growing our membership, or supporting our annual events, there is always an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of brotherly love, promote relief, and provide support to those in need. We should likewise also remember that the true measure of our strength is not found in titles or accolades, but in the ways we serve each other, our valley, and our greater community.
In conclusion, I look forward to continuing on with you in our shared journey together. Our collective effort to unite and strengthen our bonds of brotherhood will certainly enable us to eagerly take on the tasks and good work entrusted to us. I personally look forward to doing my level best to further strengthen those ties that bind us so that our valley will continue to flourish for many more years to come.
