Another reunion is around the corner and preparations are well under way! May 9 and May 10 we will hold our Spring 2025 reunion for a new class of members. What does that mean for each and every one of you? Well, first and foremost the most important part is to show up. Come down for Friday night, or come in on Saturday. While some of you know these new brothers, many do not and this is a great opportunity to show them the support.
We all remember sitting while getting ready to receive our Blue Lodge degrees, and our Scottish Rite reunion. It’s like the first day of school. A school who’s classes you’ve only heard rumors of and don’t even entirely know what you’re getting yourself into. I’ve Orange County Scottish Rite News March 2025 seen the nervous faces hundreds of times now; it’s always the same. They’re always nervous, a little shy, new faces and names to remember, and no idea what’s about to happen. This is where we come in. We’ve all had a friendly brother or tiler to sit with us, here, we really don’t have one. So what can we do?
Be there, be present. How? Well, two ways. First, be in a degree. Do you have a friend in the reunion? Be a part of the cast for a degree and share the exprerience with them in a more meaningful way. Second, come in and hang out on the sidelines and be around for the social breaks. There’s plenty of ways to be involved. Stagecraft, acting, herding candidates back and forth from the classroom, helping around with lunch. So the question is: what’s stopping you? Put the dates on the calendar and be there! It’s a great event and it’s going to be a lot of fun, see you there!
