Greetings from the Consistory,
As we move more firmly into the middle of 2025, I am filled with enthusiasm for the magnetic energy flowing through our valley. This energy can only continue to increase given that this time of year is always special for us, filled with hallmark events that remind us of the strength, unity, and purpose we share as Scottish Rite Masons.
One of our most important traditions continues to be our Spring Reunion. Opening our arms and welcoming new Brothers into the fold, sharing the depth of our degrees and the new realizations and understanding they powerfully introduce, continues to be an exciting experience. Watching the journey of these new candidates is always a profound reminder of why we do what we do. It’s more than ceremony—it’s legacy in motion.
Equally meaningful to me is our Ceremony of Remembrance and Renewal, it remains a sacred reminder for us as well as an opportunity for friends and loved ones to share in a small portion of what we benefit from in our teachings. Moreover, as always, it continues to be a great way to reaffirm and remember our commitment to living our principles— an anchor of tradition that always helps balance our forward momentum with a necessary amount of reflection on our history.
I am also excited that we will get some time to unwind and strengthen our bonds outside of a formal setting.
Our famous Sunday Super Breakfast returns soon, promising great food and even better fellowship and time with our broader family. Events like this, along with Venerable’s announcement of our upcoming Summer Picnic, should serve to remind us that brotherhood isn’t confined to our temple—it’s alive in every handshake, laugh, and shared moment.
Likewise, as we continue to work and travel outside of the regular activities of our valley, let us not forget the opportunity we each hold to promote the values of Scottish Rite Masonry. Whether it’s inviting a newly raised Brother to one of our upcoming events, getting more involved and engaging in our local community, or simply exemplifying our deeper teachings in everyday life, each of us plays a part in building an active, visible, and vibrant membership.
Let’s keep the fires of knowledge and wisdom lit, brothers. The best of 2025 is still to come!
